  Attended as a volunteer for a local convention. The hotel was an ideal location. It had a very large function hall with a smaller hall and rooms attached. Perfect for a large convention needing separate areas for seminars. The hotel staff are very experienced with such events and this was evident in how smoothly the event ran.

  In all fairness I don't give too many 1/5s ... But when you find used feminine products in your room when you check in there is cause for concern.
  
  I asked to be moved and at first was told I wasn't going to be allowed too. I had to show a picture of what was in the room for the receptionist to finally believe me.
  
  The hotel is well out of the way but has a tram and bus stop right outside so isn't too bad.
  
  Always stuff on in the hotel which is a plus.
  
  This hotel is for people who want somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay, don't come expecting much cleanliness or quality. Just a place to rest your head.

  Had really high expectations however it feels like the room decor is outdated and even the front could do with a paint job. The bathroom however is very nice. Wouldn't exactly rate the food well as even though this was included within the holiday me and my partner were on we didn't know what we were eating half of the time as there were no labels. Also noticed there are a lot of children staying in the hotel (currently) which most definitely is not an issue but the food is not really suitable for young children either. On one event, I chose something for my meal that I thought was chicken but down to no labels it turns out it was fish - which has made me feel unwell. There has also been incidents of the fire alarms going off multiple times a day for no reason. It is understandable that they need drills but as it is a big hotel it would be nice if we could have had a warning or have been told that there could be drills which would have let us prepare. Unfortunately the hotel is located extremely far away from Blackpool's main attractions however there is a tram stop right across the road which is easily accessible but it does take quite a long time even to get to the central pier never mind all the way down to other end where pleasure beach theme park and the water park is. The hotel provides lots of entertainment which is family friendly including regular movies played and evening shows. The staff here are also nice and friendly and have been helpful to us however I don't think I would come back to this hotel in a hurry.
