  Stayed there for one night, and even that was too long. Your first impressions are usually spot on, and from pulling up outside this hotel the first impression was not very good. From the outside the hotel looked run down, the entrance was filthy with rubbish & cigarette ends littering the front steps, the windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months, and there was rough looking people maybe guests loitering around the front door shouting and swearing. At this point I should have turned the car around and found some alternative accommodation but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt.
  Once through the front door there was nobody at the reception desk, which had a Bates Motel feel about it and once we had checked in and paid, things went from bad to worse confirming our first initial impressions.
  On our grand tour the facilities were of a very poor standard, the halls were dingy & dark with cracks along the windows/skirting's, the walls were dirty/stained. This place obviously hadn't been refurbished this century and judging by the amount of sand and what I hope was Ice Cream stains on the carpets, they hadn't seen a hoover or a carpet cleaner for about the same amount of time. Then we were pointed in the direction of our so called Deluxe family room which is falsely advertised by the hotel. The room was tiny, not even enough room for an average sized suitcase, with the now consistent cracks and marks around the walls and windows, door handles missing, bed side lights that did not work, TV that did not function properly, bathroom decor that was like something you might find in a hospital without the cleanliness, a bath that was covered in lime scale, and a shower head that was filthy. No toiletries were supplied only towels which also looked dirty, luckily we had our own toiletries & towels.
  There was no air conditioning in the room which didn't help the fact that the room was uncomfortably hot, even with the windows open you could hardly breathe in the room at night. Adding to the fact that the beds were also very uncomfortable, if it's a good nights sleep your after you won't find it here.
  We rightfully complained about the conditions of the Deluxe room and hotel to the owner/manageress the following morning and was rudely informed that we were completely wrong and we did not know what we were talking about, apparently they never get complaints?
  Well I've visited many countries through work and stayed in hundreds of Hotels and Bed & Breakfasts through the years, and I can honestly say that the Ashley Victoria Hotel ranks Top of the worst I've ever had the displeasure of visiting.

  Prime location being only 10 minutes walk from the pleasure beach and moments away from Blackpool beach. The hotel didn't look amazing but the room was nice with a 4 poster bed and the breakfast buffet was a great start to the day.
