  My meal was fine but my friend got chicken fajitas and it arrived covered in Cajun powder that was clearly added after it was cooked. There was tons of the stuff all over the meat and veg. My friend took a mouthful and said she didn't like eating powder so she asked the staff to sort it out and give her a meal with the spices added during cooking rather than piled on as an afterthought. The staff took it away and then came back five minutes later with the same food except just heated up a bit. " That's how it's supposed to be cooked" she says as she plants down the plate and then walks away.... NOT GOOD. I shared my meal with my friend, because she didn't want to eat what was in front of her, we skipped desert and then left. A real shame, we won't be going back. Used to be a great pub with great food and brilliant staff but this new staff member and the forgetful unapologetic cook ruined it for us.

  Good food reasonably priced great menu pleasant bar staff ,excellent service. Pub nice and clean ,pleasant atmosphere, , clientele​ very friendly ,first class local ,will definitely be back. Jean and Gordon Bleasdale

  Went for breakfast Sunday 9th April. Service pleasant as always although a bit of a wait for food. However 2 steak breakfasts were involved so no big deal.

  Have visited a few times in the week and at the weekend. The staff are always very friendly. Quick service at the Bar and with food. See you again soon no doubt.
